2nd semester showreel + end year exam

Here is my showreel of a fantastic semester. I also included my end year exam in the end for you all to see. It's the sultan sleeping until he gets disturbed by a fly. He wakes up and looks around to see what disturbed him. Enjoy!

Interaction animation with Sydney Paudua

Finally some handdrawn animation, this time with the sultan from Alladin and Hogarth from the Iron Giant
It was very fun and it was great to do something more subtle. Got a a lot of critique from my exam on this one so i still have a long way to go.

Cooperation with La Poudriére

So after the flash project we cooporated with the students at La Poudriére to help them make some test animation for the their "new tv plot" assignment. I made a walkcycle and lipsync with Skeli in a week. It was really challenging since we used after effects, which i never tried animating in before. It's obviously not made for animation in mind but its manageable and making a correction is a huge hazzle so i had to leave in some of the errors or remove the movement entirely.
The other character talking is the main character which Lasse Bruntze animated but for the sake of clarity i only have my work on a black background.

Flash

The week after the short short project I was exhausted but luckily we had a an easy week with Denis Chapon. We had an introduction to flash, which was fun and the same time frustrating, since flash isnt really made for animation. I had some experince before with flash so i tried to use all the tools i normally wouldnt use for the assignments.
First we did a lipsync and after that, a walkcycle which in this case is a jumping cycle since the bone tool is a terrible mistress.

Short Short Film

Short short film was a 4 week project with the goal of creating a short short movie for kids in collabration with the computer graphic students in our school. Here are one of the characters i designed for our short. Louise Gregersen helped alot and drew some of the sketches and construction in our model sheet.

Here is the final result! It was fun and i learned A LOT!

Design with Julie Bracegirdle

Very late update but here we are. Design have never been one of my strongest assets but I found out that I really enjoyed it! We were introduced for different ways of working to give us an inconventional ways of designing . Here is an assignment to find faces in the city. We received stickers as well if we wanted to ad eyes.

Next up was making a short film about danish culture with foreigners being the target audience. We had only one day and a lot of paper to make great silhouette figures, film and edit. I worked with Ben Ozeri and Corentin Monnier and it was really fun to do!
I made the camel and voiced the DR license man.

Here is some designs made with photocollage. We were told to make two pets that would fit Dr Frankensteins experimental pet shop. It was really fun and its a great way to design if you dont have the drawing skills.

Last assignment was to design two characters from the novel "Taste" by Roald Dahl. Here we have Richard Pat, a snobbish winetaster in his 50'ies, and Louise Schoefield, a not too bright 18 year old daughter.

After Effects with Uri Kranot

We also had to learn After Effect to be able to make a successful layout assignment and for future use in our animation. I had some experience from the danish Medie Skole so I found it easy and had a great time making some silly stuff. In the first assignment we used our bird cycle and put it in a fitting environment (In this case; Game of Thrones)

Last assignment: Ufo's invading Viborg!!
